maamorim.app

A Hebrew index of summaries and background for the Rebbe's maamorim, arranged by parsha, Yom Tov and year; useful as a vetted source to paste into an AI rather than asking the AI to summarize from memory.

On this page

maamorim.app collects summaries of the Rebbe's maamorim with background on each one. The site credits the summaries to הרב שניאור זלמן פרקש, who founded the summary project in 5781 and teaches at the Chabad yeshiva in Buenos Aires. It launched in late March 2026.

What is on the site

Checked on 2026-10-21:

  • Summaries in Hebrew, and an "English" link in the header.
  • Browsing by time of year, by parsha, by Yom Tov and by year, from 5711 to 5753.
  • A search box and a sign-in link. Reading does not appear to require an account.
  • The site runs on vertlach.net and asks readers to send corrections.

At the March 2026 launch, members described more features: search across the summaries and maamarim titles with AI, favorites, personal notes, flagging, and a printable shortlist. Some of these sit behind sign-in, so test them yourself. The Chabad rabbonim's study guides are not included (members asked, and the answer was no).

Why it is useful with AI

The summaries were written by a person who knows the maamarim. That makes the site a good starting point to hand an AI, instead of asking a chatbot to summarize a maamar from memory, which is where models invent things. See AI and Torah Accuracy.

A shliach in the group used this approach for a bar mitzvah. He gave Claude a maamar he had learned with the boy and asked for the main point at a 13-year-old's level; the boy then chazzered the maamar at his bar mitzvah. A prompt in that spirit:

Here is the text of a maamar and a summary of it. Using only what is in
these two texts, explain the main point in simple English for a
13-year-old preparing for his bar mitzvah. Keep the Hebrew terms he will
hear (with a short translation in brackets). Do not add ideas, stories or
sources that are not in the text. If something is unclear, say so.

Check the result against the maamar itself, or with a mashpia, before the boy learns it.
